Kate Garrett

Kate Garrett writes and edits. She is the founding/managing editor of Three Drops Press, home of the webzine Three Drops from a Cauldron, and senior editor for poetry and flash fiction at Pankhearst. Her work has been widely published online and in print, and her latest poetry pamphelt, The Density of Salt, was released in 2016 via Indigo Dreams Publishing. She has performed her work around the UK including Manchester, London and Oxford. She lives in Sheffield with her husband, a cat, and three-and-a-half trolls who know her as “mum”.

Kate accepts her lot as a bookish sort of person, but would not so secretly rather be a pirate.

Mimi-Cat Garrett-Nield
Mascot / Editorial Assistant

It’s a known fact that cats were kept on board ships to catch the rats. Mimi wants you to know she is as much a pirate’s companion as a witch’s familiar. She loves sleeping, attacking dogs and human ankles from the safety of her under-couch fort, birdwatching, and eating Dreamies treats. Mimi is named after a classy, cultured Siamese cat in Kafka on the Shore by Haruki Murakami, and wants you to know that even though she’s not into opera like her namesake, she does have a good eye for poetry.
