Mimi-Cat Garrett-Nield
Mascot / Editorial Assistant

It’s a known fact that cats were kept on board ships to catch the rats. Mimi wants you to know she is as much a pirate’s companion as a witch’s familiar. She loves sleeping, attacking dogs and human ankles from the safety of her under-couch fort, birdwatching, and eating Dreamies treats. Mimi is named after a classy, cultured Siamese cat in Kafka on the Shore by Haruki Murakami, and wants you to know that even though she’s not into opera like her namesake, she does have a good eye for poetry.
