About Picaroon Poetry

1. a rogue, vagabond, or thief

2. a pirate

Picaroon Poetry is a web journal for unthemed, eclectic poetry. I’m looking for rogue poets, if you will (and absolutely anyone can be a rogue poet, if they feel the urge, so yes poet – that means you).

We now publish our issues online three times a year, in May, September, and January. We previously published 6x a year in January, March, May, July, September, and November – but I’ve since had two more children, and have writing of my own to do, as well as editing/publishing three journals, plus a handful or two of print books a year – so some cutting back had to be made here and there.

So – send your favourite unpublished poems, and if I love your work, I will include it in a future issue.

It’s that simple. We don’t really take kindly to too many rules and restrictions around here. (But see the submissions page for how to submit all the same, please and thank you.)

I look forward to reading your work!
