About Picaroon Poetry

picaroon

(n.)

1. a rogue, vagabond, or thief

2. a pirate

Picaroon Poetry is a web journal for unthemed, eclectic poetry. I’m looking for rogue poets, if you will (and absolutely anyone can be a rogue poet, if they feel the urge, so yes poet – that means you).

We publish our issues online 6x a year in January, March, May, July, September, and November – but I’ve cut back a little for 2018 since having my fifth (and final) child in January. Issue #12 will be online on 20th May, Issue #13 on 16th September, Issue #14 on 20th January… and then we will be back to bi-monthly publication in 2019.

So – send your favourite unpublished poems, and if I love your work, I will include it in a future issue.

It’s that simple. We don’t really take kindly to too many rules and restrictions around here. (But see the submissions page for how to submit all the same, please and thank you.)

I look forward to reading your work!
